Removal a used digital sound package (MMI) (Audi Q5-8R)

The used digital audio system "J525" is located behind the left trunk trim. When replacing a used one, select the "Replace" function of the corresponding used one in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode. Use a tester for this. Engage the parking brake. Switch off all electrical consumers. Switch off the ignition. Remove the left side trunk trim. Remove the bracket with the radio "R" and move it to the side. On bracket "3", unscrew nuts "2" and "4" and move the bracket with the used digital audio package "J525" "3" into the luggage compartment.



On the digital audio package control unit "J525" "1" disconnect the connector to the MOST-BUS "4" bus.



Insert the protective cap for the cable plugs "VAS 6223/9" "1" into the plug connector of the MOST bus "2".





Disconnect connectors "2" and "3" from the used digital audio package "J525" "1". Unscrew the "arrow" bolts and remove the digital audio package control unit "J525" "1" from bracket "5".

Installation in reverse order.
