The torque converter serves as a hydrodynamic automatic clutch that connects the engine and gearbox, and also provides some increase in torque with increasing speed.
The planetary gearbox has four forward gears and one reverse gear. The gearbox elements are held and released by brake bands and clutches, which are controlled by a hydraulic control unit. The hydraulic pump, installed in the gearbox, creates the necessary pressure for the operation of the brake bands and clutches.
Warning: Vehicles with automatic transmission may be towed up to 50 km at a maximum speed of 50 km/h. If there is a platform for transporting cars, only the front of the car can be raised. All-wheel drive vehicles must be installed on the platform with four wheels.
