Gasoline engines
All models except those equipped with 132 kW motors (AJQ): Unleaded gasoline is not worse than AI-95.
It is allowed to use unleaded gasoline not worse than AI-91, while the engine power is reduced.
Models with 132 kW motors (AJQ): Unleaded gasoline is not worse than AI-98. It is allowed to use unleaded gasoline not worse than AI-95, while the engine power is reduced.
Diesel engines
Diesel fuel according to DIN EN1) 590 Cetane number not less than 49.
Biodiesel fuel according to E DIN 51 606 PME (vegetable oil methyl ester).
Almost no sulfur. Therefore, during the combustion of PME, there is almost no emission of sulfur dioxide (S02).
Exhaust gases contain less:
- carbon monoxide,
- hydrocarbon,
- soot.
There may be a slight decrease in power and an increase in fuel consumption.
In the cold season, mainly fill with diesel fuel. RME can be used at temperatures down to –10°C.
At temperatures below -10°C, add diesel fuel in a ratio of 1:1 to prevent coagulation of the PME fuel.
Diesel engine operation in winter conditions
When using the summer version of diesel fuel at temperatures below 0°C, interruptions in the operation of the engine may occur, due to the thickening of the fuel as a result of the release of paraffin.
Therefore, apply "winter" diesel fuel. Depending on the brand, winter fuel ensures uninterrupted operation at temperatures from -15°C to -22°C.
Do not add gasoline to diesel fuel, etc. thinners.
If the fuel quality is poor, it may be necessary to remove the water from the fuel filter sump more frequently than the maintenance schedule calls for.
To remove water, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom of the filter by hand. The accumulation of water in the filter can lead to engine malfunctions.
Specific fuel consumption, acc. 93/116/EG in l/100 km
The values for your vehicle can be found on the sticker in the spare wheel well (Values in brackets are for models with AT).

Documentation
Along with the instruction manual, the service book is included in the folder with the documents of your car. In addition, in the folder with documents you will find a brochure "On the road" with telephone numbers, by which in Europe, if necessary, you can get qualified assistance.
Depending on the model and equipment of the vehicle, various additional instructions may also be included (e.g. operating the radio system).
Proper use of the vehicle, combined with regular care and maintenance, contributes to its safety and is, in addition, in many cases one of the conditions for accepting warranty claims.
Service book
The service book contains, in particular:
- the main parameters of your car;
- values of fuel consumption and emissions of carbon monoxide in exhaust gases;
- information about the frequency of maintenance;
- maintenance schedule.
The service book also documents the fulfillment of the maintenance schedule. This can be of great importance when making warranty claims.
The service book must be presented every time you visit an Audi workshop.
