Petrol engines
All models except those equipped with 132 kW engines (AJQ): Unleaded gasoline is no worse than AI-95.
It is permissible to use unleaded gasoline no worse than AI-91, but the engine power will decrease.
Models with 132 kW engines (AJQ): Unleaded gasoline no worse than AI-98. It is allowed to use unleaded gasoline no worse than AI-95, but the engine power will decrease.
Diesel engines
Diesel fuel according to DIN EN1) 590 Cetane number not less than 49.
Biodiesel fuel according to E DIN 51 606 PME (vegetable oil methyl ester).
Contains almost no sulfur. Therefore, when PME burns, there is almost no emission of sulfur dioxide (S02).
Exhaust gases contain less:
- carbon monoxide,
- hydrocarbon,
- soot.
Minor power loss and increased fuel consumption may occur.
In cold weather, mainly fill up with diesel fuel. It is permissible to use PME at temperatures down to -10°C.
At temperatures below -10°C, diesel fuel should be added in a 1:1 ratio to prevent curdling of the RME fuel.
Operation of diesel in winter conditions
When using summer diesel fuel at temperatures below 0°C, engine operation may be interrupted due to thickening of the fuel as a result of paraffin release.
Therefore, use "winter" diesel fuel. Depending on the brand, winter fuel ensures trouble-free operation at temperatures from -15°C to -22°C.
Do not add gasoline to diesel fuel or similar thinners.
If the fuel quality is low, it may be necessary to remove water from the fuel filter sump more often than specified in the maintenance schedule.
To remove water, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom of the filter by hand. Water accumulation in the filter can cause engine malfunction.
Specific fuel consumption according to 93/116/EC in l/100 km
The values for your vehicle are provided on the sticker in the spare wheel well (The values in brackets are for models with AT).

Documentation
The document folder of your car, along with the operating manual, also includes the service book. In addition, in the document folder you will find the brochure "On the Road" with phone numbers where, if necessary, you can get qualified assistance in Europe.
Depending on the model and configuration of the vehicle, various additional instructions may also be included (for example, on the operation of a radio system).
Proper use of the vehicle, combined with regular maintenance and service, contributes to its safety and is, in addition, in many cases one of the conditions for accepting warranty claims.
Service book
The service book contains, in particular:
- the main parameters of your car;
- fuel consumption and carbon monoxide emissions values in exhaust gases;
- information on maintenance intervals;
- maintenance regulations.
The service book also documents the compliance with the maintenance regulations. This can be of great importance when making warranty claims.
The service book must be presented each time you visit an Audi service station.
