Connecting the Airbag Wiring Jumper (Audi A3 8L)

After removing the airbag, the ground circuit must be kept closed until the seat is reinstalled and connected. To do this, connect jumper VAS 5094.

Warning: To prevent the side airbag from being accidentally ignited by electrostatic discharge, the charge must be discharged by touching the latch or the body.

1. Use a screwdriver –4– to release the lock –2– of the plug –1– of the side airbag and disconnect the connector in the direction of the arrow –3–.

2. If the connection does not come off, press the plug stopper –5– to the side with your finger and pull the entire connection forward. Then disconnect the connection as described above.



3. Insert plug –2– of the VAS 5094 adapter into the housing –3–.

4. Connect the ignition wire –6– of the airbag to the plug –1– of the adapter.
