The exhaust system consists of the following elements: an exhaust manifold, a turbocharger if necessary, an inlet pipe with a catalytic converter, and central and additional mufflers. Depending on the modification and type of drive – front or full – the exhaust system may have design differences.
The central and additional mufflers are a single unit in the serial version. They can be separated from each other during repairs and are available for sale as separate spare parts. The exhaust system elements are connected to each other with bolts and clamps and can be replaced individually. Replace the self-locking nuts and seals with new ones after removal. The retaining rings and rubber supports must be checked for damage and replaced with new ones if necessary.
