The exhaust system consists of the following elements: an exhaust manifold, if necessary a turbocharger, a downpipe with a catalytic converter and a central and additional muffler. Depending on the modification and type of drive - front or full - the exhaust system may have design differences.
The central and additional mufflers are a single unit as standard. They can be separated from each other during repairs and are available as separate spare parts. The elements of the exhaust system are interconnected by bolts and clamps and can be replaced individually. Replace self-locking nuts and seals with new ones after removal. Retaining rings and rubber bearings must be checked for damage and replaced if necessary.
