Execution order
1. If there are any faults, first check the fuse in the fuse box.
2. If the fuse is OK, remove the rear window trim and check the connector connection on the left and right side of the window. Clean off any corrosion if necessary.
3. If the heating still does not work, check the central control unit for the comfort electrical equipment, also referring to subsection Electrical equipment of the comfort system.
4. If the heater wires are torn, you can use regular conductive varnish for repair. To do this, clean the damaged area with thinner or ethylene.
5. Cover the damaged area on both sides with adhesive tape and apply conductive varnish with a small brush.
6. Dry the paint at a temperature of about +25°C for 24 hours. Hot air can also be used for this. At a temperature of +150°C the paint dries within 30 minutes.
Warning: Do not turn on the rear window defroster until the paint is completely dry. Do not use gasoline or other solvents to clean damaged parts.
